We have a strong emphasis on solar, offering a range of solutions across all technologies - PhotoVoltaics (PV), Concentrated Solar Power (CSP), Concentrating PhotoVoltaics (CPV), Concentrating Heat and Power (CHP).

We are very active in providing solutions for water treatment and distribution. We have received contracts for solar powered water treatment plants for removal of arsenic and fluoride across multiple districts in the state of Bihar, India. The solar water treatment plants, designed and constructed by Punj Lloyd, will resolve the severe ground water contamination in rural India.

Our commitment to participate in building India’s renewable energy infrastructure to make it a self-reliant market is evident in our signing the Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam for sale of power from a 5 MW PV based solar plant in Rajasthan. This project is part of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, a programme under the aegis of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy & Ministry of Power.

We are also active in the biofuels sector, working with leading technology providers on the processing of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and associated biomass waste, in the development of improved liquid fuels and the use of ‘nonfood’ feedstocks. We designed and constructed the first of the world’s largest wheat-based bioethanol plant in UK, developed in support of the EU target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which requires member countries to generate 20 per cent of total energy supply from renewable energy sources by 2020.
