Business Goals Meet Social Values

We strongly believe in contributing towards the betterment of society and endeavour to create a positive impact, while achieving our business goals.

To this end, we undertake community development activities worldwide. We are the First Corporate to fund the Indo-US Corporate Initiative for HIV/AIDS. In Medicity, a multi-specialty medical institute being constructed by us in Gurgaon, India, we launched an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign which aims to arrest the spread of this deadly epidemic. HIV/AIDS prevention workshops are an ongoing activity in our sites across the globe.

In India, we have improved the lives of residents in Sitamarhi, a remote village in Uttar Pradesh. Dayawanti Punj Model School, which started in 2003, currently has 800 students; in particular, scholarships help girls to better their lives and future. In Madhya Pradesh, we provide free healthcare for the under-privileged including cardiac check-up, ENT and orthopedic treatment. Whether it is participating in a marathon to gather funds for a cause or through association with non-profit organisations, we have taken many initiatives towards community upliftment by supporting the underprivileged and weaker sections of society. Leveraging on our construction expertise, our people often provide project management services in construction of village schools.

Community development is undertaken at every location where we operate. We recruit and train locals, empowering them with specialised skills and improving their employment potential. In addition, we improve the area’s basic infrastructure by constructing wells, roads, improving drainage, providing water and electricity. We provide regular health check-ups and counselling, deploy ambulances to remote villages, and provide assistance in emergencies.
